TUTTI BLEND ITALIAN DRESSING - THE STORY  

Several years ago, I received a summer side-dish recipe that requires Italian Dressing. Honestly, I didn't like any of the grocery store brands, since even the best brands include chemical emulsifiers. I developed my own recipe, and after significant trial and error, this popular, versatile recipe is the result.

INGREDIENTS: Oregano, Parsley, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Salt, Basil, Black Pepper, Red Pepper Flakes, Sugar, Thyme, Celery Seed.

 

INSTRUCTIONS: Add TUTTI blend to 16 oz. jar or bottle (or larger). Add 1 cup olive oil and ½ cup white wine vinegar.  Shake well.

  • RECOMMENDED: Add 2 TBSP lemon juice and 1 TBSP Dijon mustard.

  • OPTIONAL: If you refrigerate, olive oil tends to thicken, so remember to remove from fridge 30 minutes before serving. Alternatively, substitute canola oil for olive oil.

SERVING SUGGESTION: Toss with salad or use as a marinade on chicken or fish prior to grilling.
